Disney World's Moderate Resort Hotels

 


Hey everyone! This week we are discussing Disney World's Moderate Hotels on property! The hotels include Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans - Riverside, Port Orleans - French Quarter, Cornado Springs, and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. These hotels are more expensive than the value hotels but still cheaper than the deluxe hotels!

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Pool with waterslide: Hold the fort at this old Spanish citadel with a zero-entry pool, 2 slides and water cannons. Climb a spiral staircase to the top of a turret for an 82-foot trip down the larger slide, which penetrates the fortress wall! A relaxing spa with the capacity for 12 allows for sweet surrender. Kids under 48 inches tall will love being marooned at the nearby shipwreck play area, where a barrel periodically dumps a deluge and 3 small slides delight little scallywags.
  • Old Port Royale: Old Port Royale at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort acts as a “port of entry” that gives Guests convenient access to check-in, concierge services, hotel amenities and dining during their island-inspired vacation. Browse the merchandise selection at Calypso Trading Post and enjoy a meal at Centertown Market or enjoy waterfront refreshments at the lively Banana Cabana outdoor bar and lounge.
  • Skyliner Transportation: Glide across the sky and add an extra dash of pixie dust to your day. This grand, state-of-the-art gondola system conveniently connects Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at EPCOT
  • Offers Standard and Preferred rooms. Standard or preferred rooms may sleep either 4 or 5 with the 5th sleeper: 2 Queen Beds and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed or 1 Queen Bed and 1 Queen-Size Pull Down Bed and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed. Room may also be a king room with a king bed!


Port Orleans - Riverside
  • Pool with waterslide: Cross the bridge to a 3-plus acre hideaway with an old-fashioned swimmin’ hole and sawmill slide. Inspired by the story of Tom Sawyer, Ol’ Man Island even features a catch-and-release fishing hole and stories told around an evening campfire. The nearby Muddy Rivers pool bar and a hot tub provide fun for grown folks.
  • Riverside Mill Food Court: Look for the landmark big mill wheel and find 5 scrumptious stations to satisfy your soul-food cravings.

  • This resort offers Bus transportation to theme parks and water parks and boat transportation to Disney Springs!
  • Port Orleans Resort has standard, preferred,  and royal guest rooms! The standard rooms may also sleep a 5th sleeper: 2 Queen Beds and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed. Room can also be a king room or just 2 queens. Royal Guest rooms are princess themed with 2 queens!


Port Orleans - French Quarter
  • Pool with waterslide: Parade around this Mardi Gras-themed pool area where King Neptune sits astride a giant sea serpent. Scale “Scales,” as he’s affectionately known, and slide down his tongue for a splash landing. Jazz-loving gators and clamshell water features add more poolside panache while a hot tub and the nearby Mardi Grogs pool bar let the good times roll.

Cornado Springs

  • Pool with waterslide: Worship the sun at an awesome aquatic area built around a 50-foot replica of a Mayan pyramid. Watch water stream down the steps of the massive stone structure into the Lost City of Cibola pool or plunge headlong into it on the spitting Jaguar Slide. This complex, known as the Dig Site Pool, is also home to the largest outdoor hot tub at Walt Disney World Resort—with room for 22 people!

  • This resort offers standard rooms, suites, preferred rooms, and king rooms. Rooms can be in the hotel or the Gran Destino Tower! Standard and preferred rooms have 2 queen beds and king rooms have 1 king bed. 1-bedroom suite has 1 king bed and 1 queen size sleeper sofa or 2 queen beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa. The executive suite has 1 king bed, 2 queens, and 1 queen size sleeper sofa. The deluxe suite has 1 king bed and 1 queen sleeper sofa. presidential suite has 1 king bed and 2 queens. Some suites in the tower are club level!


Fort Wilderness
  • Rent a golf cart for 4: Explore Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground with ease when you rent an electric golf cart. Advance reservations are highly recommended.  With a windshield, headlights and seating for 4 people, your golf cart is a great way to get around, day or night
  • Pool with waterslide: Barrels of water-filled fun, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool features a corkscrew waterslide and whirlpool spa. Young cowpokes can even cool off in the fort-themed water play area with tot-friendly slides. You can also take a dip at Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, the all-ages quiet pool with a whirlpool spa.
