A guide to Gossip Girl locations in NYC

Hey upper east siders, gossip girl here! And I wanna help you go on your ultimate gossip girl tour of N   ew York City. I am a travel agent as well and would love to help book your trip. You can email me or fill out my booking form linked here for a free quote! But let's get on to the list of locations to visit!

While the characters (excluding dan) may have lived on upper east side not all spots are on the upper east side. As the seasons progress, we get some lower east side for NYU and some upper west side for Lincoln Center, empire hotel, and Columbia. Now let's break it down.

The opening scene of the show, we see Serena riding a train into grand central terminal. This is a real train station but you can't actually catch a train to Connecticut. In fact, the station offers mostly subway trains around Manhattan and trains to Long Island. It is also home to the Campbell Apartment where Nate and Serena have sex on the bar. I recommend taking a later in the day stop here at the station and even riding in via subway to feel like Serena. That way you can have a lunch (they have a food concourse) then a drink at the Campbell Apartment. The bar opens at 1 on Monday through Friday and 12 on Saturday and Sunday.

Carrying on through the city, you can next go to the palace hotel. It's about 400 feet from the station so you can walk it if you want! If your looking for it on maps its called Lotte New York Palace. This spot is a prime spot for some iconic scenes from the first two seasons. I know a great tip for it if you book your trip with me! This is where the van Der woodsens live until there iconic apartment is ready to live in. It's also purchased by Bart so it's a Bass Industries hotel.

Keeping to the east side, if your Serena staying at palace, you'll have to go to school, but first stop at the met for breakfast with Blair. The Metropolitan Museum of Art might be the spot where the constance girls sit, but it is also a museum you can visit. You don't need to for your gossip girl fix but it is a good museum and tickets are $30 to visit but if you are a New Yorker you can pay what you wish but must live in NYC.

After your stop at the met, you might wanna go to school? The school filming location is Museum of the City of New York. I have yet to make it here on a trip cause its quite far up as it's a mile from the met but it is a must do for me! This of course is not only the exterior for the school in the show but I do think the reboot used some of the offices for the show. If you choose to visit the museum tickets are $20 a person. You don't need to visit the museum to get your fix but you'll wanna take pictures out front!

Also on east side, you will find Blair's favorite macaron shop, Laduree Paris. It's on Madison Ave. It's a bit closer to the met so it might be best to go there before museum of the city of New York but you can ride the 6 back downtown to get there then walk to it! That wraps upper east side!

Continuing on for other spots, you might also wanna check out Columbia university. Nate goes to college here before Blair and Serena join to in season 4. It's pretty north of upper west side past Central Park even.

The other school to visit is NYU where Dan, Georgina, Blair, and Vanessa go in season 3. NYU is in the east village and that's the area you'll find dan if he isn't in Brooklyn. He enjoys the dumpings from Veselka which also has a location in Williamsburg!

Now, if you're more of a chuck girl you have to go to the Empire Hotel. Chuck buys the hotel in season 3 after having issues buying a bar in the hotel. "why settle for a bar in a hotel when I can just buy the hotel?" While his penthouse suite is just a set, they do occasionally have scenes in the lobby and rooftop. You can in fact find a gossip girl drink at the rooftop bar and also on weekends they have a gossip girl brunch!

Heading down to Central Park you can find some more fun spots. The Plaza hotel is technically on upper east side but its only really prominent in show for the oak room and the fountain out front. Yes thats the fountain where Blair and Serena pose for pics in Eleanor's clothes they stole!

Inside the park, you'll find a few more spots. let's break them down.

1. Bethesda Fountain and Terrace. This is where Serena goes to cry in episode 3 and chuck and Blair get married here in the finale.

2. Gapstow Bridge is where Blair feeds the ducks

3. Conservatory Water is where Damian deals drugs via remote control boats

These are some of the more well known spots but if I missed any you're interested in please let me know! I would love to help book your trip so you can have your ultimate gossip girl experience. You can email me or fill out my booking form linked here for a free quote!
